Scoring Criteria

Nominees are judged based on equally weighted criteria averaged together to calculate their overall score. Weighting is executed by a computerized scoring system and not by judges’ determination. Judges provide their unbiased assessment on each candidate.

Nominators will answer five short questions that directly correlate to each of the five categories below:

  1. Client-Centric Approach: Evaluation of the nominee's commitment to prioritizing client interests, ethical standards, strong client relationships, and personalized service.
  2. Firm Impact: Assessment of the nominee's positive contributions and measurable achievements that have benefited their firm.
  3. Leadership and Potential: Review of the nominee's leadership qualities, ability to inspire and mentor, and their clear trajectory for future influence in the profession.
  4. Professional Achievement: Examination of the nominee's career progression, expertise, innovation, and proactive steps taken for professional growth.
  5. Personal Qualities: Consideration of the nominee's character, integrity, professionalism, and positive influence on firm culture and industry values.

Nominees may also be considered for a separate FWA Impact Award, supported by DAFGiving360, which recognizes outstanding contributions to community and philanthropy. To be considered, please indicate interest on the application form and provide details in the dedicated Impact Award section. While nominators are required to complete the full Alliance Young Professionals Awards application, the FWA Impact Award is a distinct recognition and will be judged additionally on the 'Philanthropy' criterion.

Philanthropy: Evaluation of the nominee's involvement in community service, pro bono work, and charitable initiatives, and their measurable impact.

Judges

A panel of third-party judges will review all applications. All judges agree to recuse themselves from discussing and voting on nominations with which he/she could be perceived as having a conflict of interest.

Judges will be announced soon!
