OVERVIEW OF COMPETITION

The Alliance is in search of the top young professionals under 40 in the family wealth industry. The 2024 Young Professionals Awards honor the industry's rising stars who have demonstrated success in their careers and made significant contributions to the industry.

Eligibility Requirements

Nominees should be established professional leaders with a strong record of innovation and outstanding performance. Additional requirements include:

  • Nominees must be under the age of 40 as of January 1, 2024.
  • Nominees must be employed at a SFO, MFO or established multifamily wealth practice.

Other important items to note:

  • Multiple nominees from the same organization may be submitted; however, winners are limited to two per firm.
  • Neither nominators nor nominees are required to be members of The Family Wealth Alliance.
  • Self-nominations are welcome. Nominations may also be made by a colleague or supervisor. If a young professional is nominated by a colleague or supervisor, a Nominee Supplement must be completed by the nominee.
  • All nominees are required to include a letter of support. This can be from a supervisor, mentor, client, or colleague.
  • Winners from the 2020 and 2022 YP Awards are eligible to win again.
  • Only complete applications will be considered.
  • There is no fee.

Scoring Criteria

Nominees are judged based on equally weighted criteria averaged together to calculate their overall score. Weighting is executed by a computerized scoring system and not by judges’ determination. Judges will abstain from judging a category or a nominee if there is a conflict of interest. Judges provide their unbiased assessment on each candidate.

Judges look for the following elements while reviewing nominees:

  • Thoughtfulness of the application
  • Insights into the industry
  • Introspective reflections and considerations
  • Demonstrated impact
  • Does the candidate demonstrate client-centricity?
  • Does the candidate demonstrate high standards and values?
  • Does leadership see true potential in the candidate?

JUDGES

The following industry veterans volunteered to serve as judges for the 2024 Young Professionals Awards. All judges agreed to recuse themselves from discussing and voting on nominations with which he/she could be perceived as having a conflict of interest.
